Gemini Room

Like the early space program it is named for, The Gemini Room is home to many firsts - first sounds, first teeth, first crawl, first steps, first words, and first foods!  The Gemini Room can have up to 12 infants, aged 6 weeks - 15 months old.   In this space, our youngest children learn to explore the world around them through reading aloud, playtime, and art projects.  There is no set schedule in this room, but rather our caring staff plans the day based on the schedules of our individual children.

• Breakfast 7:30-8:00

• Circle Time, Read Aloud

• AM Snack 9:30

• Music & Movement, Art

• Lunch 11:00-11:30

• Naptime 12:00-2:00

• PM Snack 2:30

• Playtime

Our learning times include developmentally appropriate activities from Frog Street Infant curriculum.  Frog Street’s curriculum for infants provides intentional activities and support in five developmental domains: language, cognitive, social and emotional, physical, and approaches toward learning. Our Infant curriculum is aligned with Head Start School Readiness Goals and offers complete support for caregivers to optimize the growth and development of the children in their care.
